CASTING BREAKDOWN
STEFAN
Male lead. Playing age 25-40. Any race/colour
Stefan is a German astronaut and scientist on the first crewed mission to Mars (so a good German accent needed). Trained in the military as a pilot Stefan is confident, assured and has a good sense of humour.
We're looking for an experienced, phsyical actor with good upper body/core strength - there is some aerial work for scenes in zero gravity which we will provide training for. Although some aerial expereince will be an advantage we're more interested in meeting accomplished, leading actors who are excited by the project and can approach the aerial and movement work with confidence.
While the main target audience is 7-11 year olds, Mission To Mars is no less sophisticated and ambitious than any show we'd make for adults - the story places it’s young audience firmly at the heart of the action but never talks down to them, doesn’t shy away from asking the big questions and is designed to appeal to all ages.
To be considered for the role of Stefan, please send your CV and headshot, with a brief cover note to Gloria Lindh <gloria*at*unlimited.org.uk> by 5pm Monday 16th August 2010.
Auditions take place in London on Wednesday 18th August.
Please contact <gloria*at*unlimited.org.uk> or on 0113 234 5400 with any queries or to obtain a copy of the script.
