We are really pleased to announce that we have been successful in our application to the BBC Performing Arts Fund Theatre Fellowship scheme which has awarded over £430,000 to 19 theatre fellows.
We are greatly looking forward to welcoming Christie Hill to the company as Assistant Producer later in 2014. Christie has previously worked with West Yorkshire Playhouse and York Theatre Royal and will be a brilliant addition to the Unlimited team, working with us across a number of new shows and touring projects next year.
This is a fantastic opportunity for Unlimited to continue supporting new and emerging artists and practitioners and helps to address a genuine need within the independent theatre sector to do more to develop emerging producers.
“I’m delighted to have been given this opportunity of a Fellowship with Unlimited Theatre.
The format of the Fellowship will allow me to combine hands-on experience and become a recognised member of the company, with the safety to learn and guidance to develop my interests and future ambitions. I believe this will give me the invaluable experience I need to pursue a career in producing theatre.
I’m also thrilled to be given an opportunity to remain working in Leeds, and work with a theatre company who’s work I find inspiring and I’ve admired for a number of years.”
